For the past few weeks I have been experiencing “foggy brain.” Have you ever had that problem, where no matter how much sleep you get or coffee you drink, you still feel like you are only half functioning? Well my mom and I were experimenting with some different ingredients this morning and found the perfect blend. Almost immediately after drinking this we both felt super energized like we had an extra pep in our step! Not only does it taste rich and creamy but it also contains chocolate while remaining sugar-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, and it revs up your metabolism! Talk about a kick in a cup!
To make this almighty blend, you only need 4 ingredients:
1 cup of coffee
1 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa
1/2 cup coconut milk
Stevia sweetener (optional)
The cocoa gives the coffee a rich, chocolaty taste and the creamy coconut milk stimulates your thyroid for a swift kick in the bum to your metabolism! The drink contains no sugar and may be a little bitter if you’re not used to the taste of dark chocolate so you can add a few drops of Stevia to sweeten up the drink.
I chose to triple the recipe so that we could use the entire can of coconut milk and refrigerate the leftovers for tomorrow. Let me know if you give it a try!
