January Birchbox

So I actually received my January Birchbox in the middle of the month but I wanted to wait a few weeks so I could try out all the products and give you my honest opinion. Here are all the goodies that were in my Birchbox this month…

My January Birchbox included: Number 4 Shampoo, Embryolisse Miracle Cream, Hot Mama blush, Aerie Shimmer perfume, and Stripper nail polish remover mitts.
The shampoo is really nice for every day use because I could feel it immediately break up any product build-up I had without making my hair or scalp feel dry. I haven’t opened my travel pack of nail polish remover since I haven’t been traveling yet but I think it’s a great idea. Apparently the little mitts have a sweet scent so you don’t smell the acetone which I would love since I always feel light headed from all the acetone chemicals (I’ll have to update you once I use them).

The 24-hour miracle cream goes on like velvet and I have been using it on the corners of my nose and under my eyes. So far I don’t see a huge difference from when I use normal face lotion but I really like how it doesn’t feel oily. The aerie shimmer perfume is really sweet without being overdone, I’m not wild about the shimmer dust (which is still subtle) so I will probably only use it on date nights or special occasions, I definitely prefer the perfume that was in Decmeber’s Birchbox.

I have been using the Hot Mama blush quite a bit. Not only does it have the cutest packaging but it is also a 2-in-1 blush and highlighter so it makes your cheek bones really pop. I usually use a much more subtle blush and this one is a bit bold but with a little blending and blotting I think it really warms up my complexion.
